The works of the whole Kontakte team have been recognized in the magazine ROCKDELUX. Chelis has been elected as the 3rd best national dj of 2006 and our first release, the "Kontakt" EP by Betelgeuse , elected as 4th best national single of the year. Kontakte -looking towards Planet Mu- starts out with the musical project of David Ortolá and José Antonio Serrano, two of its foundators -along with Dj Chelis-. Their abstract glitchcore blossoms in a digital "Error", "R3lâch3 du Quarks" and the quasi-ambient "Alice Gould". Dj/rupture destroys "Error" in his own style.

"Imagine for a moment if you will that deep within the bowels of a supercomputer there was a dank and malignant cavern where light rarely reached and the digital debris dripped a steady flow of silicon liquid onto the floor below. Still with us? Well Betelgeuse's new EP 'Kontakt' would be the sound of the stalactites/stalagmites that had formed over the years... Probably of most interest due to the DJ Rupture mix, 'Kontakt EP' will nonetheless please those who like their electronic music bathed in shadow and full of crumbly beat patterns and razor-sharp fizz - with the lead track 'Error' sounding deeply ominous and strangely beguiling in it's scarcity. Allowing the blistered modems to take a more prominent stage for the DJ Rupture Mix, 'Kontakt' manages to avoid electronic heresy by keeping things ticking along in the right direction (albeit on a well worn path) whilst marking the virgin release of David Ortolá's new label without anybody getting hurt.
